Parents
Chrys' story begins with his mother and father. His mother, was an elf with a love for the art of creating armor, opening an armory in Everdawn which became known for its success in creating armor for any species, and typically for a cheap price. His father was Zirus, who was separated from his hive. He quickly found that his appearance was unsettling to some of the residents of Vystriana, and to solve this he set out to get a full body suit of armor at the place in Everdawn where he could do so without breaking the bank. It was there that he met Chrys' mother.
The elven woman never cared that he was a Zirus, and he proved to truly admire her craftsmanship. These two things alone, kicked off the love story that led to the Elf/Zirus hybrid Chrys being born.

Early Life
At first, Chrys was a rather brave little fellow. Which was not exactly the best thing when your child is being kept in an armory. He got into all sorts of trouble, and it only got worse when he learned to fly. But over time, bravery is often taken away by experiences of pain and consequence, and by the age of six he was far more timid.
It was a small incident, but one that certainly stuck with him for his entire life. He saw some other children playing outside, and went out to join them. But he found that he was unwelcome, as some of them shouted in disgust calling him a gross bug and a monster. After that short incident, he ran back to his home, and never truly came back out again.
He eventually convinced his mother to create him a set of armor like his father's, and from that moment onward he always wore armor, he even slept in the stuff sometimes. He also gained a fascination with the craft, watching and learning from his parents as they would create it.
He wanted to learn magic, but his mother always assured him that she couldn't help much with that, as she was exceptionally bad at it for an elf. His father on the other hand, tried to teach him incredible mind tricks that he'd learned from his time in a hive. From all the lessons they did, the best Chrys could ever do was lift objects around slowly, but he was still fascinated with the trick and loved learning anyway.
Eventually a close friend of his parents in Everdawn saw the boy in his armor and asked if he wanted to learn how to use a sword. He figured the lessons could help him pay back Chrys' parents for the times that they lowered their prices for him.
Chrys took up the offer, practicing with the man twice a week. This is where he learned to use a sword, and honed those abilities to near mastery of many techniques.

Recent Life
Some time passed, where nothing truly eventful happened, which may have been what caused his parents to leave. They didn't abandon him or anything, they just decided they wanted to see the world, and left Chrys to look after the armory as he was nearly old enough by then.
It was shortly after this, that Chrys gained a small reputation. He created a set of armor all on his own, which made him appear larger than he really was, and after putting it on for the first time and testing it out in the woods, he immediately ran into a bandit running off with a child stolen from the town. He defeated the bandit, but never injured them, bringing back the child and the bandit relatively untouched. This heroic act sparked something in him, creating a slightly different persona that seemed to be linked to the armor. It wasn't magic, it was all in his head.
He repeated this several times, and before long was given the title "the merciful warrior" for never killing a single enemy he faced.
Now he resides at the armory in Everdawn, and can still be seen running it, while practicing summoning magic from an old book he was given in his down time. In times of need, some will even seek him for help, and being the person he is, he always offers his aid.
